Dew Dude
I`d really love to hear your remastered version of Saturday Freedom. I think that Leigh Stephens guitar solo on that song is absolutely amazing. I think it`s probably the best guitar solo that any Blue Cheer guitarist ever did.

I think DD's remaster sounds great...but it might have sounded entirely different if Leigh was still in the band at that point...I believe it was Bruce Stephens who was the guitarist in residence at that point...(correct me if I'm wrong)

You are wrong. It is Leigh Stephens on that album. After leaving Blue Cheer for awhile to do Silver Metre & His solo career, Leigh joined back when Randy Hammon, his replacement was fired but because he signed so many contracts at that time, he couldn't use the name "Leigh" for awhile. Those who dare to bat out of their leagues & throw the Pilot album in my face should realize that Leigh was the only guitarist on that record but used credited the lineup to both Leigh & Bruce in order to get double the royalties. When you are a famous radio personality, you need to know these things....

pretty funny Rob...that's what all these musicians have been doing wrong all these years...not listing themselves twice so they could double their royalties...so Leigh must be a very rich man collecting double all these years...fasinating...

It`s obvious that Bruce `Leigh` Stephens had his head screwed on in the right place, but unfortunate that the person who wrote the cover notes for `Louder than God` had to blow his secret for him big time.
