I knew it would be a matter of time before folks would start hawkin' their newly-autographed-by-the-band albums on Ebay! Shit, they even have Oh! Pleasant Hope selling with Paul's autograph on it!! Great album, but Paul never played on it, so what's the point of his autograph being on it? I mean, Dickie hardly played on it, but at least he's on SOME of it, which at least makes his autograph valuable, but Paul's? How insulted he must have been when asked to autograph this album! Geezus folks, at least wait a few months before ya start rippin' off the band...Or better yet, why not just just stop tryin' to rip 'em off PERIOD!

I actually heard about that copy of O!PH being signed by Paul when I was at the Phili gig. I heard Paul's reaction was "I"M NOT EVEN ON THIS!!!!" but the asswipe that had the record still insisted he sign it, because after all only a hardcore BC fan would consider buying an autographed record and none of us would have a clue as to who playedon any of the albums. Let's do these fuckers like they were Marshall Levy and bid their items up to thousands of bucks and then not pay it ;D

I asked this "seller" on Ebay why he's selling this album (Oh! Pleasant Hope). His reply was that is has "Value to someone". Then he proceeds to tell me that he has Mick Jagger's autograph on the Who album Who Are You. Says he just bought the album and just happened to meet Mick and it's all he had for him to sign! He also said the albums had value to him, so my question is, if it's valuable to him, why is he selling it? Mind you, he's not just advertising the album, but the heading in his Ebay item boldly states that this album was signed by Dickie and Paul. Again, exploitation by any other name is still exploitation. I ran into a similar situation at a recent BC gig I was at; Somebody asked Paul Whaley to autograph a copy of O!PH, and he replied the same words as before ..."But I'm not even on this!", but the guy claimed it was being sold for charity!! Shit, why not have Duck sign it as well, and while they're at it, the roadie as well, and maybe even an audience member! If it seems like I'm ranting, well....I AM! I hate to see such utter exploitation at the exspense of the band's kindness. They are willing to hang out, chat with us and sign autograph's, and when I see someone trying to make a buck offa that, it just steams my bean

I wrote this jerk-off and asked him if he realized that Paul was not on this and asked why he was ripping the band off. His response: "duh...it's a legitimate reissue (NOT!) and the band decided to sign it (yeah that really makes sense). and then he called ME clueless and insulted me. Sounds a bit defensive to me.
Here's his email address if anyone wants to send him a love letter: wdcdradio@att.net
One hour before his auction is over and not one bid yet. Gee.....
