An audio recording of the recent Malibu show is available for streaming or downloading (.wma format) at the tela.sugarmegs.com/darkstar website (the link is available in some of my earlier posts).

No, I can't take credit for that one. I watch that site regularly and download a fair amount, so I just pass the information along. Glad you enjoyed it!

It better not have Randy Holden A.K.A. The Guitar God on guitar, or else!

Man, I just downloaded and listened to that. I know the mix sucked, but Blue Cheer is soooooooooooo much tighter nowadays. Doug

Well, considering that Kain is also Gypsy Ball, he was obviously just making doubly sure that everybody knew.

Right you are Dougie! Too bad your quest for a decent live video of Blue Cheer was fulfilled with an unrepresentative show! It's karma dude! ;D

a big shout out to all those who keep the 'wheels going round and round' with these videos and photos
wasn't able to make any of the gigs due to my dad had a stroke ... so thanks to those who are thoughtful enough to post these links.
any band that can perform Urban Soldiers, Girl From London and Blue Steel Dues with equal chops and passion on one CD deserve a much better PR representation and broader audience than what they are getting ... hopefully this last leg of the tour will bring them much needed recognition from a larger world.

yea, when I saw Cheer last year, I asked Dickie about BLUES CADILLAC ... I wondered if it was an metaphor alluding to sex ... and really, I half expected a sort of hip, rock n roll jive answer but to my pleasant surprise, the monster rocker said: "It's the same thing, man. Sex and our music, it's the same thing." Very cool, if a bit bent, mind ...
Oh yea ...

So, are you trying to suggest when Dickie sings about how `you` can drive around in his cadiilac, you are perhaps suggesting that he is actually singing about a part of his anatomy? What a strange fellow you are, wholelottashakin, assuming you are a fellow, of course, and not a guy wearing a skirt and suspenders.
So when Jerry Lee Lewis sang about a `Whole Lotta Shakin` goin` on`, was he referring to any particular incident in a gents public toilet where there are a line of about forty men at urinals who have all just finished doing what they went there to do and they are all shaking the remaining drops off the ends of their penises?
Perhaps you should have chosen a different username ;D
