For anyone who thought my post to WLS was serious....it wasn't. I still uphold the policy of "No Censorship" on this board. My comment was meant to be a parody of the little mudslinging fests that frequently come up on our forum. Actually, I was a bit surprised that our favorite Guitar God wasn't included in some way, shape, or form.....

I know this was a bit long but in reality, in talking time, it wouldn't take but 10 or 15 minutes.
I forwarded some concrete suggestions to FBL. No sense in going on and on about it here. A contibution I can make ...
It isn't always about needing the money to get you where you need to go ... it's about taking the next better step and then the next one.

(quote) I have no interest in getting involved in any PR work (unquote).
Well, there you have it - another goody twoshoes with big fucking ideas on how to promote Blue Cheer, but who`s creed is `don`t do it when you can get somebody else to do it for you`, and then goes on to explain how that somebody else can do it. There`s people like you in all walks of life. They explain all the time how THEY did it, when in actual fact they were taking the credit for what SOMEBODY ELSE did.
(quote) It can be done. I`ve done it (unquote) No you didn`t. Somebody else did it for you. So fucking well do it again, if you are such an expert. But, then you`re not, are you? Somebody else did it for you.
(quote) Everybody do more of what they are doing Better (unquote) Well, you certainly are, but I wouldn`t say `better`. You, my friend, are all mouth and nothing else. The only thing that changes, and not for the `better`, is your ego which gets bigger, your posts which get longer, and who the hell wants to read this shite anyway. It`s another example of somebody who just wants to talk for the sake of talking. spouting of their self importance and when somebody actually does something constructive, you can take great self satisfaction in sitting back and thinking to yourself, `If it hadn`t been for me suggesting it in the first place, it never would have happened`.

But, that said, really glad to see the band picking up more gigs ... [/quote]

I forwarded some concrete suggestions to FBL. No sense in going on and on about it here. That`s probably the most sensible thing you`ve said yet! Why not follow your own advice for once. Armchair radicals like you crack me up. Hey, if you`re all gung-ho about doing PR for the band, then just do and and shut the hell up! No, you want to tell others how to do it while drawing attention to yourself in the process. Pathetic!

Each of us could buy an extra copy of WDKY, and ask our local radio for some airplay. The worst thing they can do is say "No".

Each of us could buy an extra copy of WDKY, and ask our local radio for some airplay. The worst thing they can do is say "No". Are you kiddin' me? ?!! Have you witnessed the stranglehold that mediocrity has on most radio stations? Their playlist is designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator which, in my opinion, are folks who really don't like Music per se, just the same old crap day in and day out at best, or just background noise on the jobsite at worst. Radio stations are no longer about those who truly love music. I mean, they won't even play Blue Cheer's best known hit, so what makes any of us think they'll play something from the new album? Your intentions are admirable, and maybe if this occured 30 years ago there may have been a chance they would play the new Blue Cheer cuts on the radio, but with the "need" to continuously play Boston, Bob Seger and BTO, well, new Blue Cheer songs, or for that matter, ANYTHING that's new and interesting, doesn't stand a chance in today's corporate cock-sucking radio land.

Oh my God! a new all time low in BB slamming ... pretending to be several people, all of whom puke the same vomit, each under a different fake-fake name. I'm not sure if this is funny or scary or who gives a rip. Okay, let's get this back on track ... the original subject is that the CHEER is touring the USA currently and will be in Europe in April. WLS
You must have been born upside down. Your ass is where your mouth should be. All you talk is crap.
And on your wedding night, did you remember what mummy told you about putting the hardest part of your body in the place where your wife does the toilet? So did you go and stick your head down the John?

Yeah, wholelottashitforbrains, I bet you just sit in your little cubicle in front of your computer screen every day, whilst all your employees around you are working their asses of, and you sit laughing and jacking yourself off as you compose more and more crap to bore all the true Blue Cheer fans on this message board. ;D

FBL, i'm glad there's no censorship here, even if it means sometimes wading through all the above to get to a point of some kind! and respect is STILL a good thing.
regarding radio play, it could still be a viable road - even 30 and 40 years ago the playlists were pretty controlled but there will always be local stations that pick their own material. and it WAS radio that put Summertime Blues and the band on the map. anyone know their local radio station? in the absence of a strong scene like SF in the 60's, london in the 60's and late 70's, etc, it could be a "best option"...
