I find it really funny that you listed this lot as the " 5 guitar gods." In an email I got from Randy Holden years ago he listed these same 5 as the most innovative ever. I could never understand why he left out Leigh though. After all, Leigh did make Rolling Stone's list of the top 100 guitarists of all time (clocking in at 98). AND he did play very LOUD!

Yes FBL, my 5 guitar gods are amazingly similiar to Randy's - but quite by accident. I'm basing my observations on the fact I just saw "Clash of the Guitar Gods" - I mean "Titans". According to the movie - these are the only known recognized guitar gods in Greek mythology. I can't change history

I take it after seeing Jeff Beck pop up everywhere on TV lately - that I stand corrected. I think his pinkie was injured - not the tip of his index finger. He never used it. I was disappointed in his playing. He doesn't use a pick? Can you imagine a Blue Cheer guitarist playing without a pick? I mean, really!!! SOS to Paul and Duck. MIA. Where are they? Days used to be months, and now months fall off the calendar like days.

Eric, You stated that Paul took over 100 takes on "Satisfaction" before it was a wrap. My question? I personally believe it was Paul's highllght reel - never heard anything like it. Do you have any contact with Paul? What's his mindset about playing again? His interview when he stated he didn't touch the drums for years - pretty unbelievable to say the least. At least I saw him play 3 times in 2 years in Texas. What a shitty deal Dickie going down. Caught me off guard. Duck, way to go on bringing that all together.

Well, I guess that was the last BC show in the US, when they were honored by High Times in Austin at the SWSX. I actually saw their last 2 shows (in Houston). Who out there actually communicates with Paul? He was just getting warmed up.

"Organizers for the 2012 ceremony recently asked the manager of The Who if legendary drummer Keith Moon would be able to perform at the London Games. It was a fine idea, except that Moon has been dead for 34 years." Something tells me these morons shouldn't be organizing this thing in the first place, if they didn't know the Moon has been dead for 3 and a half decades now.

I'm certainly glad to see Paul's name mentioned. Seeing his last performance in Austin, Texas, was truly an unforgettable experience - who knew? Paul's second tour was much more enjoyable for him. I didn't think he realized how many fans there were and the interest he garnered from the them during the the first tour of the US with Duck. "Just a Little Bit" - I mean , come on! No beat exists like that anywhere in the universe.
