Incorrect!
While Dickie would want all the other members to keep on keepin' on, whether with each other or in other projects, AND they SHOULD, without Dickie it just ain't Blue Cheer (would you smoke weed that had no THC in it no matter how good the blend?)! Anyone who thinks that BC could go on without Dickie has been reading way too many Randy Holden interviews!

Where the f%^& did this idea of a Blue Cheer with former members filling in for Dickie begin anyway? What a completely asnine idea!!! If it did happen there would be nothing but bitching and moaning that it ain't the same, so why even entertain the idea? Are some of us BC fans so self-centered that we want BC to go on at any cost? Should we try to contact the guy who, in the early 70's, claimed he was Dickie Peterson to be in BC now? I think this may be part of the grieving process of losing Dickie as a person and BC as a band, but we have to come to terms that the mighty Blue Cheer went with Dickie. I think out of respect for Dickie there should never be a New! Improved! version of Blue Cheer. Certain bands are so tied to one particular member that embody the heart and soul of that band that any attempt to carry on without that member, regardless who else is in that band, always seems suspect. I say, let's pay our respects to Dickie by stopping this stupid-ass idea of a BC without him.

from"this guy from Belgium"excuse me if I'm "lost"!I like Blue Cheer since a long time, but I know little about the past and recent members. My "ultra-fan"band is Steppenwolf.Steppenwolf have find the name"heavy metal"(with "Born to be wild")Perhaps,BC without Dickie Peterson is like Steppenwolf without John Kay!!!...A "cover band"??I know much about the members of STEP.:I'm in the wolfpack fanclub!!

Rubbish!!! If I'm correctly reading what you folks are trying to express in writing, that the "BC sound" shouldn't be attempted anymore, why the hell not? That would be like never again hearing musicians trying to emulate/play Miles Davis, Coltrane, Canned Heat, Airplane, Dead, the list goes on and on, Classical of all kinds, etc. etc.....We still have Whaley, Duck, and other associates plus I'm sure willing others. Change the name to Cheer or whatever ....Let's get in on!.....As I said before, Rubbish!!!

eio, Right Arm , my friend , you are so correct --lets hear it for more music --Who cares what the name is --I have one though " Yo Mammy and The Cold Monks" Dickie always wanted to use that name someplace.
Cheers, Eric

As long as Randy Holden is still making music, then the sound, the TRUE sound, of Blue Cheer will live on. Accept no substitutes!!

Piglips, Are you implying that the German guitarist on Dining with the Sharks was the same one that once played in Accept? If so, You really are more ignorant than we thought!

Well, didn`t Accept have a song entitled "Fast As A Shark"? Didn`t Blue Cheer have an album entitled "Dining With The Sharks"? I don`t think it`s a mere coincidence!

Big lips und hips - Kindly accept this as an invitation to contact Paul Whaley and other ex members of Blue Cheer like hextermeister , or Leigh the Stephens and ask them to work with you on a music project . I would welcome this effort and should think you would have little trouble pulling them off. Nuff said now is time for action----lets see what you can do
