I seriously doubt that Festooned Piglips is Uncle Eric. He & Randy never met & what on Satan's Black Planet would be his motivation to waste time on this board to slander Randy? When he posts here, it's usually to give us some really vaulable insight into the band, things most people that were involved have trouble remembering. I, for one, would hate to see him leave this board due to the posts of a babbling festooned monkey or abuse that comes from individuals motivated by the paranoid delusions of a certain musician. I've personally met Eric and can vouch that he is good people (all 49 of him).

Lately I have received several requests to change the format of this board so that no one can post unless he/she registers as a member first. I've looked into it and found out that I have that capability. My question to all who have asked about this is...what will we accomplish by doing so? Sure we will have the capability of sending Personal Messages to a registered member. But you can register without using your real name. And even if you couldn't, I as the moderator have a policy of free speech on the board, regardless if you're being an asshole. I welcome any comments....

Wow! Things are gettin' stranger by the minute.
Let me put it to rest...I am not Festooned Piglips. I am a fan of Randy's, but this guy is obviously delusional about the (small) role Randy played in Blue Cheer.
While I was never convinced FP was Eric, the thought has occured to me, but Feathered is right; His writing is not at all like Festooned's.
Nonetheless, we should let Festooned know the next time he/she/it posts, that we will not stand for this nonsense any longer and that he/she/it needs to register the name and become a part of this board instead of some wierd mystery figure.

I have to agree with FBL we cannot have censorship of any type
because it is all about excercizing free speech even if we sometimes do not agree with it.....besides, it's all in good fun we shouldn't be taking everything to heart this is a nice getaway or refuge from the everyday bs we all have to deal with on a daily basis - there other message boards that can get pretty venomous at times - I think this is a pretty friendly community we have here overrall

He was great although not as loud as Dickie. I think it's offensive that the Who went on tour without him. He & Moon were the band....

I agree Dickie is definately louder and so is Lemmy  and yes, Entwhistle and Moon were the band and they should not have went on tour afterwards It was over for The Who after Moon died in 1978 after they did that tribute tour in '79 to pay homage to Moon they should have called it quits after that |

it gets more out there all the time ... randy holden has 3 myspaces, all dedicated to himself and on the biggest site (109 people) 2 are randy and 1 is the real Blue Cheer

Well ANYWAY more importantly....today is the 37th anniversary of the release of one of the LOUDEST and HEAVIEST albums ever....Black Sabbath's debut! Why hasn't anyone said anything about that! It's really funny as I was watching this video it reminds of all the stoner rock bands (who of course pattern a lot of their sounds and styles like Sabbath) I go see at a lot of the clubs....when I was looking at Bill Ward the way he looked and the way he was playing reminds me of Nebula's drummer - interesting
