I guess that's true, but Eric was in England with Leigh when New And Improved was recorded.

Blue Cheer's Dinning With The Sharks is on ebay now, a CD and a vinyl copy are up for bidding. For anyone who doesn't have a copy and wants one.

tony rainier , as I see it, would be the guitarist I would pick to help Dickie with Mother Ocean. Long ago and far away I said to Dickie I would like to work with him as a solo artist , thinking reformations of Blue Cheer would not necessarily give him the chance to put him again in the super successful arena. Naturally the adulation of fans and huge name recognition keep him coming back to "his" Bue Cheer. The last few years of Touring has really solidified Blue Cheer's reputation and put them along side of Hendrix, Cream, Etc. I continually get refrences from google about worldwide comments regarding BC and am amazed that only now really has the recognition taken on a higher level. Dickie is a working fool and probably will die with his bass on---------- I talked with him on his way in from the airport and although tired he said now he can relax a bit and thanks to Duck's management he has come away with some money , a first he says----Great job Duck. Dickie informs me the cd is finished and Paul played on 6 or 8 tracks . I asked him what they were going to call it and he said they have not decided. From the board I liked BCX the bestand I told him that -----A BC logo of sorts with a celtic huge x across the entire cd. I asked him if he thought the cd was great and I mean great ---"Are you experienced" sort of great . He said , " I have never really liked any of my , Blue Cheer Albums.", but said , "yeah, I like it , it is great". Again true to form Dickie is a preformer and put a bass in his hands he is one of the best there is period........................................................ I thought my post on what to call Blue Cheer's new album BC X was the least original idea that I could ever come up with, and kind of dumb to. But I guess Eric thought differently. Which I'm flattered and surprised. So thank you Eric for liking it, I wasn't expecting it. And if BC does call it BC X I'll be floored.

So the other night I was watching the remake of the slasher classic, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The victims of the movie were a bunch of hippie kids with a Chevy Van (the scene was supposed to be 1974). The cool thing was, they had an old concert poster on the ceiling of the van that had the Other Half listed on the bill (it's that famous one with Alfred E. Newman's face on it). Of course, at a key moment of the film, Leatherface attempts to get at the hippie kids by chainsawing his way thru the roof of the van and thus, saws the Other Half poster into 2 seperate halves! :PSo how many cameo movie appearances is this for Randy?

Even more surprising is that Randy hasn't contacted the studio wanting to get paid for allowing an image of one of his former bands to be used in a movie! I have this movie at home, and haven't watched it yet, but I'll be on the lookout for this scene. Am I the only one who finds the irony in a poster of The Other Half being sawed...in half?

Maybe Randy Holden isn't into horror movies, and didn't see it.

I watched that movie as well the other night. And I noticed the poster too. Can't believe that sawed it up like that. I recently bought 2 original handbills of Blue Cheer for a couple of shows they did at the Family Dog. They are really nice.

Yeah that was interesting. Just made my copy of it. Too bad there wasn't much of Paul going off but he sounded good.
