Thanks, GB. Ironically, the very first 2 cds I bought were the Doors & Sabbath's first albums. AND YES, these bands did play together once. I did not know that Black Sabbath And The Doors played together, that must have been one interesting night, the Lizard King and the Prince Of Darkness sharing the same bill FBL do you know when this show was?

It was in 1969 I think in either Amsterdam or Sweden. Sabbath didn't have an album yet and were the warm-up act.

2 years later Jim Morrison would be found dead in Paris.

So Festooned Piglips, what is Randy Holden up to these days? As it stands, I am not at liberty to answer that question at the moment.

Does that include time travel? Cuz you know to see Randy play with Blue Cheer you would have to go back to 1969.

Don't act so sure about that, Riffy boy. You never know what the future may hold. Heck, if The Police can re-unite and not kill each other, then anything is possible. Besides, that video currently circulating is basically Blue Cheer anyway. The only thing missing is Dickie, and with, well..You know who on bass, it's Blue Cheer!!

Your optimism preceeds you.... But you are right ...we don't know what the future will hold.

I don't foresee Randy and Dickie ever playing together...two different personalities and too instense for one another...would clash in my opinion......Randy better off establishing his own project and not live off the name of Blue Cheer......besides Blue Cheer's got Duck they don't need anyone else

I agree with you on that one.

I agree too. So then, why don't we stop harping on this Randy Holden thing and go back to focusing on the band at hand. If we agree that Randy shouldn't live off the BC name, why give him all this publicity on the BC board? If he really wanted it anyway, he would've jammed with them on stage at the LA gig just like Tony Rainier (an underrated player) did in San Fran!

Randy is no longer interested in Blue Cheer. Hasn`t been for some time. He has his own agenda now, and it doesn`t involve Paul Whaley either. I`d expect a new album to be released sometime, unlike Blue Cheer`s of which the release date seems to be forever being put back, assuming that it actually exists, or is it`s very existence caught up in some legal wrangle over obligations unfulfilled? The mystery deepens!

No doubt that Randy does have some incredible plans for the future and Blue Cheer is an experience that is well behind him. Be here now! I agree, let the Randy Holden thing go man. It's tired, old and not even true. Quite frankly FPL, you're making an ass out of yourself on this board with each and every posting. Get a life.

I agree with a poster that Randy was just a fill in. Duck has done more with BC in recent years, than what Randy did with the band during his very short time with the band. Besides I don't think BC would sound good with a surf sound that Randy seems to be interested right now. So FPL stop making Randy Holden look like a complete asshole with you posts. I'm very interested in hearing Duck on the new BC album. His playing has improved over the years. His style has changed from a heavy metal sound, to a more psychedelic sound.

Yeah the thing is a bit old & tired. But for those of you who didn't get to read past interviews with Randy (I believe some of them are linked to his website), a lot of what the mysterious Festooned Piglips (whoever the fuck he is) writes is most likely meant to be a parody of things that were said. Plus, the whole issue of the trademark definitely did not help things.

As I am sworn to secrecy by a "higher power"( ), I cannot answer your questions at the moment FBL. There are reasons for silence my friend, reasons for silence......
