So what is the deal with the Official Blue Cheer website? This thing has not been updated in eons! Ever since it was "taken over" from Frank Oberlaender nothing much has been added. Not even any of the recent tour dates. This is an awesome site and I'd hate to think that the myspace fan site is going to replace it  |

Yeah, the myspace site really is the source for up to date info... Speaking of Blue Cheer websites - there is this one: www.bluecheerfan.com/Worth checking out, as it has a great download-able live recording of 'Doctor Please' from the November 2006 Knitting Factory show and some great photos. |

Frankenpint, "taken over", well, i would say stolen by a woman who presented herself here as Roslyn or Roz or whatsoever some time ago and a certain Mr. Albronda (known otherwise under a half dozen of pseudonyms) and partly ruined and f**ked up by same person and his little helper in crime Old Hippieman (who actually might be one and the same person as well).

Blue Cheer are about as far away from the computer world and web sites as can possibly be---their image and interests and capabilities are not with computers .
Originally designed by Frank Oberlaender the Web site was a labor of love by a super deticated fan . I consider it more of a great historical record and a great one given the time and forethought necessary to produce such a site.
As most of you are probably aware running a web site especially about a musical group takes money and constant sources of information being fed to the person that is willing and capable of keeping a steady flow of information posted in a timely manner.
For years Frank was given very little information to build the site and keep it current, yet created a gem of a site . None of the Band members contributed in the slightest and were less than cooperative when asked to contribute . After awhile this becomes very frustrating and "why do something for nothing ". I have paid for the site for years and tried and still do to add information when appropriate and when accurate. Like Frank I have had very little as far as support from the Band . I know they like the site as it is but would rather a full blown site with sound cababilities and merchandise etc. but all of that must come from the Band itself , including the money to pay a full time web master to keep up with the site and the bands activities .
Look , I know what I have contributed to Blue Cheer from the beginning back in 1965 I need no one to tell me what I did or did not do---that is my business and my personal triumph-- no body can take that away from me ----I accept the sometimes abuse that comes from this board because that is what happens when you are in the spotlight so to speak----I consider some of the comments about as close to slander as can be yet understand the frustrations of being involved with the one and only Blue Cheer .
If any of you have a issue with me then ericalbronda@finestplanet.com please include your address and phone number with your real name otherwise how can I take you seriously.
As far as Ivy, she single handledly is responsoible for Blue Cheer even existing in the last few years ---she has accomplished a tremendous amount of good for Blue Cheer and now knows "As Good as it is, as bad as it is"---she did not want to see Blue Cheer just fade away and had the know how and trememdous smarts to pull it off when the "Pro's could not" nor past musicians or managers. I feel lucky that Ivy has been there for Blue Cheer in a big way and literally gave life to a dying animal in a most positive way. I wish you would consider what I have said before you slander Ivy, or me or anyone else .
Hard core fun is one thing but nobody enjoys being ripped apart , nobody .
If any of you really has the time and money and know how to run the Blue Cheer site as the Band would wish I suggest you contact Duck with a proposition and budget and qualfications and if done in a professional manner I am sure he would consider any realistic offers.

Our hairless friend still has not balls enough to post under an identifiable name. Oh, well, as another poster said, who gives a care. One of the emails I received after posting my email address prompted the following comment: NO! Gabby is not the Web mistress of the Official Blue Cheer Website. I have no idea where that rumor started but it ain't so. As far as I know, Royce, the guy from Oakland, is the person who runs the Blue Cheer MySpace and is the only one who handles that site. It was suggested to me that Gabby runs that site as well. While I do not have personal knowledge of the happenings at MySpace these days, my deduction, based on the oft 'cut and paste' posts taken from the MySpace site and posted here by Gabby, is that Gabby is not directly involved. Last I knew, Gabby did have the password to the all of the public Blue Cheer email accounts except Ducks own robink**** account ... so just know that if you write to Blue Cheer, you are writing to Gabby ... if that's okay with you, then good but at least now you know who you are writing to. Oh, boy, I betcha I get it now. Venim and foul-play are sure to double team now. Duck was right ... I do get too emotional, and while I can hold my mud for a long, long time, when I get pissed, I sometimes blow it ... leaving myself open for attacks from the little people. But there you have it anyway. I am going to be very busy these next few days so if you don't hear from me again for awhile ... may the good guys win and happy trails to the many kind folk here. to those who have sent PM's and emails ... great hearing from you. Several people now tell me that they no longer post due to the lame ass people like steelbrain, bess, and all the other gutless wonders who haven't got the courage to back their insults with their name.
look, i understand ... but the band deserves better ... and IMO, the only way to drive the assholes away is to out do them ... as stupid as they are, be smarter ...
and post ... ;D

I totally agree! If you got something intelligent to say, post it. Don't get driven out by those who like to post bullshit. They want you to run. This is your board too. I won't ban or censor anyone as I believe in freedom of speech. BUT...I also believe that if someone insults or irritates you, either ignore them or kick their ass. BUT don't let them stop you from doing what you normally do....
