I uploaded the new website to the Blue Cheer server: www.bluecheer.usYou may have to reload the page the first time the site comes up, if the old site is in your cache. This is definitely a broadband website, dialup users will have to be patient. The old site is completely intact, click the "Archives" button to see it. I made a few changes to it to make it look more like it used to, but I haven't had time to do much else to it. There's a slideshow link on the Media page. There's also an alternative Media page for Mac users who cannot hear WMA files. I will be tinkering with the site and the artwork over the next week or so. I welcome any suggestions anyone has, but please, BE NICE, OK? I worked my ass off on this. I also welcome suggestions as to the text on the site, there are many here with much greater knowledge of the band than I possess, and some here could probably do a better job with the text. There will be some more artwork coming soon, so I will have more resources to work with. Thanks, Doug

I must admit, the site is very professionally done, and puts the Mypage site to shame. My only complaint is the short shrift given to the Randy Holden era of the band. This is an era that cannot, MUST NOT, be overlooked. While you should rightfully give attention to the current incarnation of the band, one must never ever forget the forefathers, lest the FOUNDERS of the great institution known as BLUE CHEER!! But I digress....The site gets the proverbial Siskel & Ebert 2 thumbs up!

Great job on the new site, you walk the talk, ddye - really nice and easy to navagate through.
Hopefully it will help spread the gospal of the Blue Cheer and get people out to the shows.
Love the live tune you have on the home page - fucking fantastic!

One suggestion, ddye-
It would be cool to have a news link - (for any new article posts or reviews... whatever) - might be an incentive to keep people going back. Once again - great job!

That's a good idea. We'd need some "news" though, anybody wanna write some? If we get any more messages from Dickie, I would certainly post that too. Also, I really, really want to thank everyone here for the good words. I appreciate it more than you know. Doug
