I went to the show, it was really good. Pretty good turnout, Dickie was in as fine voice as I've seen. Again, mostly stuff from the first 2 albums, but they played "I'm Gonna Get To You" and "Rollin' Them Bones" from the new CD. "Rollin' Them Bones" rocked like a BITCH!
Good mix, Duck used a ton of feedback, the stage seemed pretty good for it. Paul did an amazing drum solo for "Doctor Please", really really great.
We brought 3 video cameras, and got audio both from the sound board and 2 Shure mikes getting the "room" sound. The lights were horrendous though, I'm capturing the footage right now, and everything looks red, but I think I can work with it. The audio sounds good so far, that's the thing you absolutely HAVE to get right, and I think we lucked out. John (Chris the soundman's brother) was also video taping, and a nice guy named Dallas was recording audio.
The guys were great, as always, and we taped an interview with Dickie and Duck.
GREAT SHOW!
Doug

Fantastic, ddye!! Thanks so much for posting about the first show of the tour - sounds as if we're in for a treat.
Hope we get access to the recording at some point - this band is so fucking amazing live.
I'm counting the minutes till Kyber gig Wednesday.
GET OUT THERE AND SEE THESE GUYS!!

Hi, new member here. I'll be seeing them this Saturday at the Rex Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA. I'm looking forward to it.
A couple of quick questions.
1) Is there an opening act? What time does BC start?
2) Judging from the post above, I would like to know if the band is taper friendly. Is this the case?

I think the opening acts vary from venue to venue sometime? But, I'm sure they'll be at least one.
From the shows I've seen, Cheer typically hit the stage around 11:00 +/- ... and they are taper and video friendly-
One thing I do know for sure: they will play their asses off and put on a great show, yeah and LOUD - that always happens!

The Rex Theatre show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. I haven't been following the ads, so I don't who the opening act is, but I assume there'll be one. See you there!

Mike's correct, but club concert time runs an hour and a half slow... Doug The Rex Theatre show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. I haven't been following the ads, so I don't who the opening act is, but I assume there'll be one. See you there!
