Yes, it is! If Quiet Riot hadn't been such a heavy metal success, Randy Rhoads Holden would never have been able to form Blue Cheer and make the money that he did!

I think it is poor taste to use the unfortunate death of a rock singer to continue to belittle the genius guitar god known as Randy Holden. Randy did not, I repeat DID NOT make any money off of Blue Cheer. He was lucky to have gotten enough money to buy a t-shirt at the time, thanks to the drug use of certain members. Randy on the other hand refrained from such indulgences, thank you very much.

Back to the topic at hand......the cause and manner of death were not immediately known, pending an autopsy and toxicology results, but evidence indicated that Dubrow suffered from advanced obscurity.

Yeah, there are some who can't haddle obscurity, and there are others that can't handle being famous at all. I think that's the reason that Kurt Cobain killed him self, because he could handle baing famous.

Oooohhh, m`I os scerad...Ooops, I meant, ooohhh, I`m so scared Sorry, I had a touch of Gyspyballism there. Ya see, Gyspyballism is a syndrome that affects you when think you know it all, get excited, and then make a post before your brain kicks into gear, thereby leaving all rational and intelligent thoughts out of the equation. It has nothing to do with Dyslexia, and everything to do with lack of intelligence. Looks like you got it as well rowenafaerie, judging by the first 4 words in your post.

I`m sorry, but was Kevin ever in Blue Cheer? If not, then why the f@#% are we even discussing him? Furthermore, his death from drugs only emphasizes what Randy Holden always thought about drugs, which was the main factor in him leaving his band Blue Cheer; he simply was not a drug user and could not comprehend the other addicted members behaviours.

According to Kevin Dublow, none of the heavy metal bands in the world, including the mighty (uh yeah) Randy Holden would have ever sold a record and made all their millions if Quiet Riot hadn't been such a success. Matter if fact, Kevin once said in an interview that Randy Holden got the idea to hook up multiple amps (and legally changed his first name) due to seeing the late, great Randy Rhoads live in concert!

Festooned, you may be right that Holden doesn't condone drug use, but don't make it look like he's some sort of angel and never experimented or tried anything. I'm sure he did his fair share of drugs in his heyday. The acid practically wrote fruit and icebergs. "It's so nice to feel the colors"
