I remember one night we were on the road through France. We really starved... when suddenly a McDonalds showed up. But we only had dollars on us, no french money which they only would accept. After a certain discussion Dickie yelled at the manager in best "Outride"-manner to take this f****** american money simply because they are a f****** american company, otherwise he would take care to let all french McDonalds close down. We got our meals in a hot second ;D So... on the road you mostly don`t have the choice... I wish you guys a happy and successful 2008. The real sound shall never die! Vist me on the web: www.didisaller.de. Yours, Didi.

thanks for the input and the anecdote, HM/DD..the site i referred to is an 8 page long joke masquerading as a rider iggy pop sends ahead to venues. of course there are plenty of situations where you'd get nothing or have to settle for ANYthing to eat when on the road...but especially when you're playing places that serve food it is fairly traditional for the host to provide some nosh and m ost welcome when the performer makes suggestions as to what they would like to have - which you may know, often becomes an excuse for outrageous demands on the parts of SOME acts....Happy New Year to you and anyone else reading this!

This will probably be my last post, so forgive if it's too long, after suspicions that I'd been posting under different names ( I wasn't, I don't have time to play games like that ) and I don't have time to bicker anymore. My post on this thread is the first since the one where I said "@#$%!^&*()++#@!" well, you don't need to know, if you weren't there you missed it" ) back at the beginning of the divorce wars. BTW Dr. sounds cool in the background , you guys don't know what it was like to hear that in your house daily, as I was going to work second shift, during rehearsals for the Laconia gig, LMMFBO, and Blue Steel Dues was THE anthem in the neighborhood for YEARS as it was rehearsed and everybody got to hear it ( not that they could help it ) and that the cops confiscated my firearms shortly there after ( as the lyrics say )......I wouldn't change any of it though, it was so FUCKIN BLUE CHEER, BTW these guys sounded unreal with the shitty equipment I was able to scrounge up for them in the rehearsal studio. Goes to show that the equipment is not as important as knowing how to utilize it, Dickie, Joe, and Duck utilized it...Joe was great, Paul was unavailable at that time. Hope Paul's doin well. EVERYONE should see these guys in concert at least once in their lifetime. They will cause necessary things to happen in your life. You won't regret it. Sorry Feedbacklord and wife, I never got to meet you guys, as I returned too late that night. Today, after knowing what I know, ( who cares ) my newnewest favorite songs are, As long as I live, I think it was the vibra slap/country feel. Dickie said he can still do the voice that he did on Ace's and eights ( another fave ), and I want my baby back. I hope Dickie finds it in his heart to forgive Bruce. I hope for ALL CHEER FANS well, and, as Dickie said, follow your heart and do the right thing. Peace brothers

BessyCerka, We met you at the 2nd gig. We were standing next to you the whole time. That was where me & Maltese first met as well. We didn't see you at the house later on (that was a funny time!) but I did meet Isis briefly.
That gig was the last time BC ever played Blue Steel Dues in front of an audience. It was really cool. Long live Tumbleweed!
