When I visited the shop in Regensburg that hosts Nebelling Records, in 2003, there was a big long cardboard box full of copies of `Dining with the Sharks` on CD (as well as vinyl copies of `Blitzkreig` and `Highlights` on display) and for sale. Didi just asked for one for me, and got it.

He sent me a rare vinyl copy which was really cool. The vinyl is missing Foxy Lady. Originally, this tune was recorded with Duck on guitar (along with 3 others). These tunes are unreleased at the moment with Hoffman sitting on them....

Most of what you guys mention is true. But there`s always two sides of the medal. Hofman is not an ex-nazi, but he definitely was (or still is, I don`t know) a control freak. I would never ever trust him in managment affairs for my band Ravenryde. On the other hand he sometimes, when things were going bad, was working his ass off as a cabdriver to make sure Dickie gets his monthly payment. He loved BC, but he didn`t love the members. It was, and still is a shame this record never got released in the homeland of the band. Only the gods know the reasons why. I don`t know what happened to all that copies. I was told Hofman had an accident or so, and he had to stop all business. Anyhow his phone is dead. IMHO it`s not that important who has been in the band for how long and why. Fact is that it was right at that time. BC is sort of family style. Each of us musicians was working for the same family, and you guys are part of this family, too, just on the other side of the stage. Dickie is not very loyal to any of his musicians, but as a bandleader in weird times he must act this way to keep the thing going. I understand all his decisions. Even if I`m personally not very much into Duck`s playing I agree that he fits in much better than I ever did. His contribution to BC is invaluable. I had a hell a lot of fun in this band and as a very young player I learned quite a bit from Dickie, which I won`t forget my entire musical life. So I`m always pleased when I hear about any success the band has. It would be a pleasure to open up for Dickie and the guys one day! Take care, Didi.
