i think that's why, like mr maltese suggests; the guy told a white lie about someone who could be dead for all most people knew, and his friend/manager ran with it. now the drummer man is back - pedalling with cover ups cos otherwise all his friends will see he is not paul whaley. its the manager who's pushing it which could be stupidity or very clever - ie how can you sue a friend for trying to get credit for his friend - using aka is legal if not "right". one thing though, as doug pointed out , there are more people hearing about blue cheer through this guy than would've before. if the band aren't dignifying it why should we?
