...To post here that is. I, like many others, stayed away from this board primarily due to the excessive foolishness that continued on this board (AHEM Festooned Piglips!), but while Festooned was the main culprit, there were others who participated as well. Well, kudos to the mod for making this board strictly for those who are registered. Now maybe things will be civil again like the old board, making way for the real diehard BC fans to post and allow some genuine, serious (But still our off-brand of humor) discussions of our favourite band. So uhhh, RAWK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's nice to see that the members of the board are coming back again, and hopefully this will end some of the spam here as well.

Who are the 91 guests (not users) in the last 24 hours, since guests are no longer invited in?

Well said, Gypsy Ball. I agree with you entirely. Out with the nutters and in with the genuine Cheer fans. Hear! Hear! Say `no` to spam.

They should take some time off (mini-vacation) while in Spain. The people are friendly, the food is great and the weather superb! The nightlife (clubbers) start around 2 am and kick into high gear by 5 am....Mix in Maleguenea into their set and Blue Cheer should have a great reception...
Has Blue Cheer ever considered doing Summerfest here in Milwaukee? (the week preceeding the fourth of July...It's too late for this year...but it is a favorite for many here in Chicago ...and way outrates Taste of Chicago..

Bring them back to Texas! I saw them in Houston and at the High Times party in Austin at SWSX. My first post on this board. Paul did say that Texas was the best part of the tour. Dream fullfilled. I'm surprised they weren't at the recent biker fest in Austin. 40,000 people - with Big Brother, Charlie Daniels, Molly Hatchet, Canned Heat, Three Dog Night, Johnny Winter - enough said!

The current issue of High Times features the Doobie Awards and Blue Cheer.

Thanks for the heads-up Goldilocks! Got my copy today. You'd never know BC was in the mag by looking at the cover. It was fun reading a story about Laconia. I got lost on those scary backroads too but somehow found my way to the Barn. Sure made driving while confused a lot of fun!

Fever Tree, a Houston band that ended up in San Francisco in 67 and 68, has reformed after 40 years with the original singer, Dennis Keller. Fantastic show - songs from their first 2 albums. Michael Knust, the original guitarist, gave an interview shortly before he passed away in 2003. Amazing insight to what happened to them. 'San Francisco Girls' is a great song. Dennis' voice sounds exactly like it did forty years ago! The band was in the studio, too, when Blue Cheer recorded their first album. A must read for Blue Cheer fans! They are playing Austin and Houston. Google the interview!
