Comedian George Carlin died at the age of 71 yesterday and I believe it was due to a massive heart attack - I know that he has had bi-pass surgery in the past but this is a great loss not only to the world of comedy but a lot of what he had to say politically especially in a lot of his later stand up gigs he has done since the early nineties,….
He certainly was a favorite of mine in the world of comedy
I know this has nothing to do with BC but I decided to post this because I’m sure that some folks here who are fans of comedy may have taken a liking to George Carlin and have seen a lot of his comedy skits in the past

Another useless post! Could you remaster that album and send us all copies, or do you want to be the only one who owns it like with BC4?

No, you know what...I put BC4 on a server after remaster to give people the option to download it...because honestly...shipping CD's out is not cheap. Only a few people grabbed copies..I'm sorry if you missed out or weren't willing to download it..I offered it in SEVERAL formats. No one ever offered to help with hosting or distribution or anything...and when i'm left to do things by myself...well...i got a pioneer amp that'll show you what happens then. CD's cost money...shipping costs more....you expect me to shell out appx $3 per person?
I stand by my original statement of you're an ass....there's no reason you have to be this way..and there's no reason an off topic post can't exist once in a while..sure..it's a BC forum..but can't it also exist for people who have something in common to share something one in a while..i mean..comon...the old forum had that mentality to it....what happened to this place?
You never bothered to make a comment till I kind of appeared out of no where and said something....sure, someone makes an off topic post and it just gets ignored, i make an off topic post and you have to be an asshole...did you only register because it was required?
you're the reason i've, for the most part, abandoned this forum. one thing that attracted me was the feeling of community and friendship..you've wiped your ass with that and flushed it down the proverbial toilet. i miss the old forum..i miss the old people that were on the old forum...i don't even recognize this place anymore.
seriously, WTF happened

All the old members are still here, DewDude. When I changed the format here to sign-in only, I was pleasantly surprised how many of them never went away and continued to check this board out. While I still uphold the "no censorship/anything goes" policy, reading the same old jokes and slights over and over got really old and I am hoping that we get more of the insightful conversations like we did in the beginning. Please don't encourage these bad apples by answering their bullshit. It only fuels the fire....

yes, he was a comic genius. that irascibility probably didn't help his heart much, though...i hope they're partying down this week in spirit land...george, bo, and the other highly creative people who have recently passed over...

While I still uphold the "no censorship/anything goes" policy, reading the same old jokes and slights over and over got really old.... last time i was here you didn't appear to have an antything goes policy and i was chewed out for posting something off topic...malteese's post pretty much was ignored till I said something...which means i'm taking this shit personally...and that's why despite being a member for 2 years i've got a mere 16 posts.

last time i was here you didn't appear to have an antything goes policy Have you been smokin' your bowl again!? This board became a total free-for-all for awhile. Part of the the reason I'm trying this new format is because I've received several complaints (mostly from the Ja-Holden Witness deciples) about how things were out of hand and all that was posted anymore was total BS and that I should ban certain people & delete certain posts, etc. I never did any of that because I believe in free speech and one's right to make an ass of him/herself publicly. There's no guarantee things won't go back to the way they got. I hope they don't. But if certain people must spill their guts here, they must realize they are opening themselves up to further "abuse."

Have I been smokin' my bowl again? dude, that's like asking a rabbit if it's fucked today.
here's my main point...the original post was made on june 23...three days before *I* posted a reply. no sooner than i do that, terrence goes into total dick mode...on me...bringing up the EXACT SAME SHIT the last time i posted on this forum....if he was a true asshole about offtopic posts, he would of replied monday...and if i hadn't of written a reply...maybe he wouldn't of said anything...is that making ANY kind of sense? i generally just shrug people off...but when a dick is basically saying the exact same shit they have in the past and appear to "have it out for me"...i can't just shrugs that off..becuase there's no sense of it on the internet.
and, for that matter, last time i came back after an absence, YOU chewed me out for an off-topic post..i'm sorry if i thought people gave a shit about a member that disappears and comes back...maybe i'm just too used to how things were done in the mid-90's and not this "everyone's a dick because it's the internet" that things are now.

I chewed you out? When did I ever do that? After digging through past posts, I see that all I did last time around was point out that the reason OTHERS were giving you shit was because rather than talk about BC or anything relevent to that time you were more interested in giving a technical lecture of how you "remixed" a BC album or telling us about how "crazy your year was." Most people can care less. BUT did I ever say you weren't allowed to post that stuff? No. Just like I never told anyone else that couldn't rag on you for it. Anything goes. And all I was doing just now was simply saying "don't let these assholes get to you" and in return you accuse ME of giving you shit? Well doood, you are on you own now. May the wolves do what they may!

The way you responded last time seemed more like a chewing out than a simple "this is why he's doing it"...i realized the entire time why he was being a jackass in '07...and i realize WHY he's doing it now. this is not my first go around with forums.....and personally..i dislike all forms of webforums, i'm a fan of usenet...and seriously...this place could NEVER be as bad as the public MS newsgroups.

The answer is, you can`t!!! So here you are, in all your puffed-up glory, trying to sell an album that is dishonest in it`s context (remixed-yeah right!) that hasn`t even had the copyrights cleared with the rightful owner! I know some people in New York that could do a much better job, nay, an actual REAL remix job, than your amatuerish sorry ass, and have legal permission as well. Get lost Dude

for starters...i never "remixed" anything...some people are so stupid they don't know the proper terms.
i simply remastered the original vinyl of BC4, finally doing that album some justice after Arkama botched thier transfer.
it's true, i did the thing without permission...but euventually dickie found out about it and gave a blessing..as even he doesn't have legal rights to the album.
i never charged any money for it...ever. i gave people download options and the option to send me a few bucks to simply cover shipping and i'd mail a copy out...no catches. was i making any money off it? no..if anything i had already invested $34 in the BC4 LP....let's not even begin to calculate how much the audio equipment cost. i know lots of people in new york that can remix an album much better than i can..i'm not a mix artist..i'm just a mastering/restoration engineer.
puffed-up? seriously, if mr belcher hadn't of brought the subject up i wasn't going to. it's not like i walk around bragging about doing one LP to CD....god...i've done 40 or 50 of them since then for my private collection....
