If you didn't google Michael Knunst's interview about their studio time when BC was recording way back - do it, it's great perspective. Dennis Keller, the original singer, has put together a hell of a band - playing a lot of dates in Austin and Houston. August 16th, a live performance at Dan Electro's(4:30) with a simulcast on local radio station KPFT. That night - the homecoming continues with a show at The Continental Club (where BC destroyed Houston in March). after a nearly 40 year sabbatical from playing live (sounds like Randy's self-imposed hiatus), this band rocks!

It`s just a pity that Michael passed away a few years ago. I have the first album on vinyl. I bought it when it came out. The next three albums were totally ruined by the record company when they started messing with the mix and adding orchestration after they were all done and dusted, to the point that by the fourth album, which I have also still got, the band bore no resemblance whatsoever to the one that made the first album.

I took 8 fans to a packed house for Fever Tree at the Continental Club last night. That was a party. Dennis Keller's voice was spot on with "San Francisco Girls","Season of the Witch", "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing", "Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out"," I Put a Spell On You", plus songs from their 4 albums. We talked to Dennis after the show, and he is having ball with this project. I was in bed by 3 a.m., but who cares. No early nights with pajamas for me. You want rock - and - roll - get out and have some fun! Waiting for BC's return to Texas.
