Hey Y'all, Just wanted to spread the word that there is a new album out by one of our fellow 1% brothers, 56Buzz. www.amazon.com/Escape-From-Bolivian/dp/B005E3ZQWU/ref=sr_shvl_album_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1312902449&sr=301-3 Got my copy today and I gotta tell you this album kicks some serious butt! And who said that covering Funky Cold Medina is a crime anyway? But seriously, to tie this in with the subject of this board, this album does contain a certain reference to the band we all love and, boys and girls, the first of to find it and post it on this message board will win a date with Gypsyball! ;D FBL www.treasurefoots.com

FBL - thanks for the shout out. Once again the 1%-ers are stand up individuals. Don't be scared off by the mention of a "Funky Cold Medina" cover, I don't think it's a crime to genre bend once in a while. (I took inspiration from the Dead Boys/Lords of the New Church version of the Madonna classic "Like A Virgin") Plus the solo is 15 - 20 seconds of pure feedback, so i tried to keep it as lunkhead as possible. Overall, things are pretty simple no drum machines or digital studio tricks - 70's style... 4 guys playin' etc.. Also, it wouldn't be music if it didn't pay homage to the boys in Blue Cheer thanks again FBL!

Great album Buzz! Really liked your version of Funky Cold Medina, sort of like a different spin on Love Potion Number 9. Also you guys did a great version of All Along The Watchtower. Other songs I really enjoyed, Gun, and Straight To Hell.

gypsyball allright... I can declare you the winner!
I used the loose translation of "I create chaos" I think I read on this forum in fact, so it makes sense in the song... just doing my part to keep the BC name in the public conciousness. FBL if the prize is a date with gypsyball what does he win??

Good question there Buzz! Gypsyball didn't want the date with himself and when I offered him a consolation prize he turned that down even quicker!!! You or anyone got any suggestions? Maybe send him on a scary tour of the NYC Underbelly with Freaky Frank as his tour guide???
Anyway, I've been playing that album a bit and I really like your guitar tone. We'll talk more later as it continues to sink in....AND consider that 15 second solo in Medina the 2nd BC shoutout on this album....
