Hey Eric, any stories of The Beast Is Back sessions? Since you were given credit for co-producing the album.

HELLO GYPSY BALL. In order for "Beast" album to be made the "Money" wanted to produce the LP. Not uncommon then or now .They wanted control. I did not even know I was given that credit --I thought it was , special thanks or something of the sort . I was not present actually at any of the sessions . The Album was done after a brief tour , which was overseen by myself and a lady named Anita ---she worked for many years with Brian Rohan---our longtime music attorney---Airplane , Dead Aerosmith-among others were his clients ----he made mucho denaro off of Summertime Blues and to this day takes care of Dickie when things are tight. Of possible interest ---Gypsy Ball was written by Dickie ---Perhaps Peter Wagner-I forgot --about a Man Named GINO who actually came from Gypsy Stock---Long Black Hair --Fu Manchu mustache dressed Oriental with Black Beatle Boots. Gino came out of Sacramento, and was an expert of the Martial Arts. He attached himself to Dickie way back when Dickie and his brother Jeri were in the Andrew Staples Band followed shortly by Group B----both Bands played the Fillmore Auditorium and I saw them Both---1965-- I believe ---At the Time Dickie's favorite Bass Player was Chris Hillman from the Byrds. Anyway, Gino decided he would be body guard to Dickie which he did in a very unassuming way, stayed out of the way, but stayed close enough to help Dickie if needed. Gino was an Artist mostly etchings and some Jewelery. Gino met an untimely death in a head on on the Golden Gate Bridge, early 1968-I think---------------------

The "Beast Is Back" album was good, but would have had more "edge" had Randy Holden played on it ;D

It would have had more edge if the `Edge` had played on it TOO.
