Based on feedback I have gotten about the goofy nature of the recent threads on this board, I am setting this thread up for those who want to have serious discussions about Blue Cheer. Those who want to continue with the light-hearted digs at past BC guitarists, please carry-on on the already established threads. ;D

I couldn't agree with you more. Good call!! Now, I couldn't attend their show back in November when they came to my neck of the woods due to some other circumstances at the time, so I am eagerly awaiting the next (Possible) tour. My two questions are: 1) Are they definitely touring again in the Spring, and 2) Where are they currently basing themselves? S.F., Northern Va.? It goes without saying that I also eagerly await the new album come Springtime as well. Rawk on!

From what I was told they may be coming back and do some shows in April '07 and then go to Europe and do some shows there afterwards,...that's all I know from what I was told and is not even definate yet,...judging from all the interest in the band I would think they will get some more shows underway this year

As for where the band is based....let's just say Planet Earth for now. Dickie is in Northern, CA, Duck is in upstate NY, & Paul is still living in Germany.

So I would assume that there is no work curently being done on the new album? Of course, they may also be sucking up their reserves for a possible Spring/Summer tour. We can only hope!

They had a week to work on the new album between the Knitting Factory gig and the rest of the Nov. tour. Paul laid some drum tracks on some of what was already recorded (Hasselvander's tracks are being left on some of the cuts) and the band recorded 4 additional tunes. Nothing will be left off. They decided to use every song recorded over the last year. Now if only we could hold out till Spring...

I hear ya! Man, I am really looking forward to this new release for a number of reasons. First of all, it's the first new material by them in over 13 years. Paul is back with them. Duck is playing better than ever. Need I go on? For the rcord, I am glad Paul is back with them, and has added some of his drum work to the new album. But, I have to admit, I am curious how Hasselvander sounds on the studio tracks. This may not be popular, but I thought Joe was a fine drummer, and fit the role of a Blue Cheer drummer perfectly. He looked the part, and played in an over-the-top sort of way, which is appropriate for Blue Cheer. Either way, this is an eagerly anticipated CD for me.

In my opinion I think the new Cd should be called, BC III - because to me that last tours from 2005 and on is where the band has picked up where it left off from 1969

I think I heard Duck say they were gonna call it Gluteous Maximus. He was kidding but that sounds like a BC album title on so many levels.

FBL-
Any word on how Paul's doing? - the last time I saw 'em play he was in quite a bit of pain with his knees. Hope he'll able to pound the skins next time around the circut.
Looking forward to the new CD no matter what they frickin' call it! ;D

Nothing new yet, Babylon. I imagine he's recooperating for the Spring tour. I know he plans on sticking around. Isis & Blood Farmer, either of you talk to him lately?
