Checked out Holden's website today and saw that a new album is coming out called Blue Though no release date is listed yet.

You could be right on that one. If he wasn't going to do that, then why would he waste his time and money to change his the the home page with the picture of the "new" album cover? Is he finally releasing that thing because Blue Cheer is putting out a new album. Or is he just teasing us.

So, Randy is, after years of fans waiting, coming out with a new album, just as Blue cheer is coming out with their new album.

Why are we talking about R A N D Y I thought this was a Blue Cheer board. Randy Holden is a former Blue Cheer guitarist, along with Leigh and Bruce Stephens, Gary Yoder, Jerre Peterson, Tony Rainier, and Dieter Saller, or any other former member of Blue Cheer. So if we talk about them it won't be too off topic for this board. |

So, it`s July now! Wasn`t it June before? Wasn`t it some time last year it was actually recorded and coming out? I`ll have as many grey hairs as Dickie Peterson by the time it`s released. Oh.....what`s that you say......oh! there is a problem with the artwork on the cover? That`s what`s holding it up! Have they actually fucking recorded a new album? From the set list at recent shows it would appear NOT!! What`s the chances of a new Randy Holden album being released? A hell of a lot better than Blue Cheer, I would think. Arriba! |

Hmmmmm....Randy coming out with a new album around the same time as BC? My guess is that they're one and the same album!...in other words, Randy has rejoined Blue Cheer as a second guitar player and he ain't tellin' the world!!!! |
