Blue Cheer REALLY needs to play Omaha and show all these "conservative midwestern rock bands" how it is done. Peace. Bullets for Baby www.myspace.com/bulletsforbaby

Are we talking the Moby Grape song `Omaha` here? I`ve never heard anybody do it other than Moby Grape. So why should the Cheer want to play it and show others how it should be done, if nobody else has ever played it?

Actually, I think the Golden Palominos covered "Omaha" in the late 70's.

I wish Fu Manchu would cover it. Their version of California Dreamin' left a lot to be desired.....

Make no misteak this will be the real Blue Cheer you'll on those stages. There's an old saying, the Cream (not the band) always rizes to the top and bullshit will always bury you in the end ;D

uhh..vukojebina...How did you come up with that handel ...(get it ....Handel vs handle...:-)....) or is it some anagram ..
I think what you are describing could have been at a Vanilla Fudge gig. Randy Pratt had them reform and promotes them as well as other '60 's bands. He may even have something to do with Johnny Winter etc. Pratt has some record company and promotes this kind of music. I am sure many of the bands appreciate the interest. One of his pet projects was to resurrect Blue Cheer with Randy Holden on guitar. He probably was there, and you heard him bragging / explaining about it. I remember running into him and him telling me all of his plans about this or maybe it was just Randy solo, and none of it came about. It was all talk. 2004 would have been about right. Even Randy can't stand Randy. Pratt messes with things and is a control freak. That desire to control does not make him many friends in this camp.

Regardless of what impression certain people were under, what the intentions were, or who actually took what initative, the whole thing boils down to one ingly element, total lack of respect for the man who made all the magic happen in the first place....

Finally you people are starting to see the light!!!!!! One of his pet projects was to resurrect Blue Cheer with Randy Holden on guitar. He did. It came out in the mid 90's and was called "Guitar God".
