I'm talking about the year 2007, not the number 2007.

What about the Blue Cheer videos made in the early 90s when they were based in Germany? Nobody seems to mention them. Who the fuck wants to listen to a Blue Cheer track put up on Youtube by Gypsyballocks where there is only the cover of the original album accompanying it? Who wants to listen to one song that they`ve got on album anyway, when there are whole concerts to view featuring both Duck McDonald and Didi Saller? Who`s got a video of a recording session from Regensburg, Germany featuring Dickie. Paul and Didi? I`ve never said anything before, but like Feedbacklourde says, they are out there. Go and find them! I did! Are you interested in former members of Blue Cheer and their current or past projects. You`d be a fan of their`s now if they were still in the band. I was and still am. If you are true Blue Cheer you should be as well. Try contacting former band members and proving to them that you are really a Blue Cheer fan as well as a fan of their`s. I did and so did others and we meant what we said. Will I share? I have done with others who have done the same. There were some who said they had THIS and THAT and they had FUCK ALL. I don`t have anything from this century apart from personal photographs taken with the band, or from former members who appreciate ME as I have appreciated what THEY did for the band, and what they still do as musicians. Stop criticising others who have been as much an integral part of Blue Cheer in the past as those who represent the band now. It is all one big family. Somebody posted recently that Dickie and Leigh should sort their own personal egos out and get Paul back over from Germany. The problem was NEVER Dickie and Leigh. It was Paul and Leigh. The fact that the original trio will never get back for a reunion is because of that. But then, if you were really into the band you should have known that. Duck epitomises the sound of Blue Cheer (toned down) as it was meant to be. The band has been rejuvenated because of his input, but you shouldn`t forget the ones who came before and put him there. Without them, Blue Cheer would have gone into oblivion when Leigh went to England. I don`t read much support for the likes of Gary Yoder or Bruce Stephens or even Tony Rainier on this board. They hardly get a mention. I ask you - why is there so much animosity for Randy Holden, because without Randy Holden there might never even have been a third album. let alone the forthcoming one and all those in between. As Eric said recently, the contract was for two albums. How many are there now? Ask yourself that question before you criticise those who made Blue Cheer who they are today, and kept the name alive.

Your post has made me feel nostalgic for the old board, Feathered. While I do welcome the enthusiasm of the newer posters, this board used to be a lot more informative, interesting, and all-comprehensive of the phenomenom known as BC. We did used to discuss the activities of all BC Alumini--past & present, as well as have a collaborative effort to collect shows, videos, or anything else connected to band history. With a newly extended network of fans, I'd have expected this to florish. The reason us members of the original 1% network are tight with our tapes is because we had gone through Hades & back to get them and don't feel that a copy of the Roundhouse gig with Randy Holden should be given to anyone that simply asks. Get something just as cool to trade us first and we'll talk.
As for the content posted here, what ever happened to old posters like Other Half or Tom Dilligaf? Their posts were interesting and thoughtful. Why is it that Festooned Piglips is a senior poster? Just cause I don't censor their dumbass posts doesn't mean those with actually something to say can't continue to post here. It's kinda sad that with all the recent band activity, an album that's finally coming out, and all these news articles being posted here all that seems to be of interest lately are pissing matches. Here's the deal: Randy Holden was just a blip on the screen in the grand history of it all (he's had a longer run on this board than he everv did in the band) and Leigh Stephens will NEVER come back. He can't even play that style of guitar anymore nor is he interested in doing so. (part of the reason BC is playing only material from the first 2 albums live is because they got the impression that this is what most of the crowd wants--probably due to all this nostalgia for Leigh. I know that all you new fans are buying up and love ALL their material. You'd never know lately from this board).
OK, rant over. I'll get off my soapbox. Back to our regularly scheduled program.

It was fun to see how "Duck" McDonald weaved his guitar magic through one of my all-time faves, "Parchment Farm"--the camera was focused mostly on him the whole time, and it felt like you were riding along with him on his motorcycle, taking you through all the twists-and-turns of that number. On another note: Dick Peterson at the age of 59, shows you why, when it comes to singing bass players in a power-rock trio, he WAS and IS the proto-type singing bass player for the likes of Lemmy Kilmister in Motorhead, and Burke Shelley from the Welsh group, Budgie. Not pretty to look at, not pretty singing, he just stands there with his bass and delivers the goods! Someone buy Dickie and Lemmy a drink and get them talking to each other! I bet we find they have a lot in common!

Apart from the fact that Dickie doesn`t have plukes. Nobody has plukes like Lemmy!
