Mak 10 is voicing concerns that Duck is suceeding where Holden has failed. Sounds like they have a "problematic" crush on Dickie, bad vibes. I don't understand about the strange choice of pictures.

I was fortunate to get a front row seat for some of this 06 tour, and if y'all really want to know, they are so tight, on and off the stage, each knows and is comfortable in his role, brothers. In other words, its a picture, don't imagine any power struggles, trust that they know who they are, and what they do.

Duck ... like merged in to where he is 1 equal 3rd of the band. ..... REALLY? Where is the front and center cool shot of Paul?

I'm really not understanding what this wanne-be-rant is all about. I hung out a bit with the guys at a few gigs. Like TinyDancer said, they are all like brothers, respect each other, and are each working towards the same common goal. I'm sure if you asked Dickie or Paul about the "fairness" of this picture they would both respond "who gives a rat's ass". I personally find it to be a dynamic stage shot of them cranking out Dr. Please and think it's kinda cool. And believe me, Duck is not trying to take over BC. He has a tremendous amount of respect for Dickie and is really gung-ho to keep the ball rolling for the band. Ain't no egos in this bunch.

btw---The Northsix gig in Brooklyn was just amazing! This is probably the BEST live show I ever saw. The band was tighter than ever, Dickie sounded really good, and the music went to places I never imagined I'd see. This gig to me was the epitome of what BC is all about. I'm almost afraid too see them live again as this show was too good....BUT I'm not that crazed!

Mak Ivy....did you go to any gigs and get to take a pic with Paul front and center? If you think it's so easy, stop yapping and do it some time. It's not that easy taking pics of Paul playing. How about the shot right on the front page with all the guys and Mos Generator. Stop trying to stir up shit. Peace out all ready. Let it rest.

Y'know Duck has taken over one aspect of BC- getting the whole fucking thing organized and making it happen- something I'm sure Dickie doesn't want to deal with! So everyone should bow down and thank him for doing that or we never would have seen this whole tour, which was a total gift from the gods. I mean it's 2006- the last tour with Paul was what 1986? What a great summer- Cactus, James Gang and Blue Cheer, along with CSNY and the Allmans. I want better myspace photos, let's diss Randy some more, blah blah woof woof. Give me a break. Ken when are you going to install that asshole filter? I know, right after I cough up some tapes...

So is Paul back in Germany? Or is he staying on heading for the recording studio? Dickie had all these plans for Blue Cheer and Mother Ocean. What are his plans for the next few months? Does he plan on working on any other of his projects in the next few months before the gigs start up again in November? It would be nice to hear from Dickie in his news letter. I realize that being on the road for 4 to 5 months that they have a lot of catching up to do with everyday things, that we call normal life. So it may take a bit of time. His thoughts would be interesting to hear, since many of us in the US met him and the band. Also the fans in Europe may feel a bit left out. Some words on the state of things or even how the band coped with the tour would be good. Did everyone hold up ok? and all that. It seems no catastrophes came about, and generally things went pretty well. Now what about the next steP.....

The European fans should'nt feel left out. They had the band for 17 fucking years!!! It's about time Blue Cheer does a long term American tour. They are an Anerican band, no?

I went to see Blue Cheer in Cleveland Ohio in July. My buddy and I drove 6 hours from West Virginia to see them. It was well worth the trip! I have been a fan of Blue Cheer for a very long time. Hell, I would have driven 10 hours to see them! I was very happy to find out they are playing at a few places closer to me than Cleveland.
They played a great set to say the least. We left in such a hurry to get there I forgot my camera and all of my albums. I was so impressed when they all came out among us after the show. They were all super nice to us. Hopefully I will be able to get some pics during the November leg of the tour. You have no idea what it meant to me to hear Second Time Around live.
I also collect old movie posters and I came across a dealer who had a poster for a 1967 gig Cheer did with Big Brother for the Hell's Angels a few weeks ago. Of course I snatched that one up, and hopefully I can get the guys to sign it for me. And yes I will have Duck sign it to. He is just as much a part of Blue Cheer as anyone else who has been in the band over the years. I noticed a couple of people snubbing him after the show in Ohio as well.

Paul is back in Germany. I hear that he found the tour exhausting. He said that Dickie`s nerves were really frayed by the end of it all.
