Get over yourself already I kind of miss Feastooned Piglips; Randy Holden posts, at least they fit this board better, even though Holden has the least amount of recorded material with Blue Cheer of all the guitarists that Blue Cheer had over the years. |

Likewise, FBL - believe me, I get the concept of this being a BC and bands related board... if someone makes a valid point I'm gonna support it, opinion's are just that... opinions, that's cool. I'd rather eat broccoli than go see the Stooges again, but the fact of the matter is, they are more popular now than back in the sixties because iggy and the Stooges became the 'darlings' of all these 'revisionist' rock journalists who see him as being more important 'artists' than BC. At least Blue Cheer keeps their focus on their music when playing on stage. Unlike the Stooges who seemed to run a freak show with their music. I don't see the excitement of Iggy Pop being an asshole and who sometimes wares just a thong on stage. *yuck!*  or when he introduces him self as "I am fucking Iggy fucking Pop" Hopefully BC will come to the tundra later on this year. ....Sounds like sour grapes to me..... ....Are you angry because Iggy gets paid for wearin' a thong and bein' an asshole and you don't??? |

just who the do you think you are anyway? Telling someone of the caliber of Eric Albronda to shut up or do anything else ... he has more talent in the lint in his belly button that you do in all your eighteen toes, loud mouth
only met the man at ChetFest but major respect for all that he does for the band - and the fans - all these years.

What does hippy music sound like? The Stooges hated hippies? (Why did they go and play at hippy rock shows then?) BC regressed on their third album? ....Go join your Stooges you sure sound like one. Yes, compared to the first 2 albums, Blue Cheer regressed on the third album. Side 1 was the dreaded hippy sound, and side 2 was basically Randy Holden wankin' off, without a hint of the fury that Leigh Stephens brought to the band. Get over it already. Stooges would never let Blue Cheer open for them---Stupid, Stupid thing to do. EIO---Smart post !!!!! You win !! He wins...What? Eric, like some of the others, you totally missed my point. Look fellas, don't take this too seriously.......I was merely giving another point of veiw in the Stooges VS. Blue Cheer discussion, that's all......No need to get all huffy..... The hippy sound? When I think of that, I hear bands like The Grateful Dead, Moby Grape, Country Joe And The Fish, etc. as the hippy band sound....Nothing wrong with it if it's your thing, and I admire Cheer for risisng against the tide of that stuff, being right in the middle of that scene..... ...So guys, gals or whatever....Lighten up and have fun....This ain't meant to be taken seriously.......Peace? Good God........I didn't mean to start a "pissing" war between the Blue Cheer fans and fans of The Stooges! Shit......I also have made a very long roadtrip to see The Stooges that didn't happen because of the Northeastern Blackout a few years back and much like the frustration I had with the cancelled Blue Cheer gig @ Vamp's in Toledo I have been given a 2nd chance to see them and was pleasantly surprised to see Blue Cheer in Chicago the night before and that I could see them too but it seems that I must be some kind of a "freak" for liking both bands! Honestly I expected Blue Cheer fans to be above such petty bickering over something so trivial!  |
