Maybe Festooned Piglips is really BC Freak pretending he`s Randy Holden, and is writing to himself so that he can bore us half to death with his mindless ramblings. Rather like, as one of my learned friends once quoted on here, the person who didn`t wear deodorant for a month in order to draw attention to himself. No I'm not Festooned Piglips. Yes I am.

If you are Randy which I highly doubt, your making yourself look like an asshole. So chill. He's a great guitar player anyway you look at it and it should be left at that.

No I'm not Festooned Piglips. Yes I am. Way to Piggy boy, looks like BC Freak left this board. Keep in mind my friend Randy is in the past. Read this article that Dickie put in on the News Letter page dated Oct 4 2004, about Randy www.bluecheer.us/bluecheernewsletter.htm

Oh Geezus people, don't you get a joke? I never once claimed to be Randy Holden, nor did I, with one funny exception, allude to being him. ANOTHER MEMBER CLAIMED ME TO BE HIM. If another fella on here left due to looking like a complete fool, that's not my fault. Anyone who knows Randy just knows he doesn't post on message boards anymore. By the way, Blue Cheer is what it is today thanks in large part to Randy, due to his extreme influence on their sound, style and substance.

I like the word `substance`.

Too bad your band doesn't have any "substance" Scott! Over the last 10 years, you've released the same album 8 times under different names with different song titles.

BC Freak,
Ozzy was not that loud I mean no louder than the average heavy band ,.....I saw Ozzy with Brad Gillis w/ Ozzy in '82 several months after Randy Rhodes died...Ozzy's show was scheduled several months before when we received the news about Randy Rhodes' death and the tour was postponed until Ozzy finally got Brad Gillis to replace him - all of us really wanted to see Randy Rhodes he was being labeled the top metal guitarist at that time.......on the Blizzard of Oz tour in 1981 Motorhead opened up on that tour which was their (Motorhead's) first US tour - everyone I spoke to who saw that show (were Ozzy fans only) didn't like Motorhead and they said that Motorhead was too loud and thought they wre terrible,....that's when I knew I'd like Motorhead & I couldn't wait to see them and caught them on the Iron Fist tour which was Fast Eddie's last show with Motorhead

I'll sit out the Randy issues- But Eric, Eddie Kramer told me he laid down the piano on "Feathers", and since I believe the overdubs were all done in NY (I know the mixing was) and Ralph wasn't in the band yet... Of course I wasn't there...

Ralph was listed in Babyon on reads and organ.

That may not be accurate. Ralph had said that he played sax on Magnolia Caboose Babyfinger (which has been confirmed) and that isn't even listed. We do know that the band didn't authorize that piano part to be added and seeing the way they played that song live, they really didn't need it.
Hope that clarifies things a little BCFreak. And please use that name again. Don't let "Randy Holden" scare you into dropping it! ;D

That's true because you never hear an organ in Babylon.

Or a broken and battered tambourine in Gypsy Ball.
