I got info from a source who spoke to Dickie the other day for a while and he said that he (Dickie) bought a vintage Ampeg SVT amp to add to his already massive stack. Duck will have to go through two Marshall stacks to compete with that rig on stage,….expect to see more amplification on the next tour Be loud be proud!

thanks gypsyb - i'd forgotten how pretty lemmy was back in the day! and how hawkwind showed him off to such advantage! funny how he hated them, but they really did make him look great! never could figure out what stacia was trying to put across there, but this is probably their prime period - only one drummer! they got a second shortly after this clip...and still never made as much impact as whaley!

I just found this video that was taken in Dec. 1983 of AC/DC on the Flick of the Switch Tour which in my opinion one of the very best tours with Brian Johnson...this one is pretty rare this was not from the Joe Louis Arena in Detriot this was a different show from that tour - was not professionally shot but still very cool and it's rare video from that tour,.....that show was the biggest PA system I've ever seen at an indoor show...they were BLASTING! - Isaw then thirdt row from the stage on that tour and they were incredible--these guys rock enjoy www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsn-U609BbcThis video has been removed due to terms of use violation. Very stupid of You Tube to do that.

For some reason, that tends to happen to any youtube video Mr. Maltese sends. Same thing happened with a Johnny Winter video he showed me.....

that because the AC/DC video was not a professionally shot video but it's stupid that they take it off of You Tube it's not like your selling the thing for money it's just for display,...the Johnny Winter stuff was a professional shot from 1974 era but probably Johnny's mgmt. had that one taken off,...I think it's totally ridiculous and should be available for the fans to see as far as I'm concerned. That's another problem when an artist or band is too popular this kind of shit happens with the bigger artists,....
speaking of AC/DC I spoke to Angus Young's guitar tech and he said that AC/DC are at 132db through their PA....that's a lot of power

I have in my posession a Marshall Super (BASS) Lead amp that was supposed to be Dickie Petersons that has an oversized transformer and puts out around 133 Watts RMS hand wired by Jim Marshall himself.
It is bloody over the top loud !!!!! Its a wonder they can still hear !!!!!
