Not Randy. But (though unlisted on the sleeve) the album will contain Fruit & Iceburgs (New! Improved! version).
Q: How many guitarists does it take to change a lightbulb? A: One. Randy Holden. He holds it and the rest of the world evolves around him.
Hahaha what a knee slappa!

Wha t a bunch of old ladies....oh the album is never going to come out...I'll believe it when I see it.....doubting Thomasses...
I know the band is stoked about this one, especially Duck. Paul is too, even though he did not play all the drums.
I see that the writing credits are shared by Dickie and Duck...That is a first and is a good sign!

Wha t a bunch of old ladies....oh the album is never going to come out...I'll believe it when I see it.....doubting Thomasses... Oh gee, let me see here....The album has only been postponed at least 3 times, they have not played ANY new material on any of their tours since returning to America, and even now (as you yourself stated), there's no promotion. I'm not a doubting Thomas; I'm a realist. I'll believe the new album when I see it. Just because an artist or band says something (you know, like the date of an album release) doesn't mean it's necessarily gonna happen. And you think it will be released because the record company said so??? Whoa!! Yeah, like they're a reliable and honest lot The 60's are over pal, so get over your "pie-in-the-sky" mentality. And no, do not misconstrue this as ragging on Blue Cheer; that is the farthest thing from the truth. let's just say, while I admire most musicians musical ability, their reliabilty in other areas of life is always questionable.....With of course the exception being Randy Holden. Now I just KNOW his final version of Pop. 2 will be released on August 30th!!

The difference this time is Duck MacDonald. He says not to worry because if things go wrong he still has the masters. I am a little dissapointed they left 3 tracks off. I mean screw it ...release a 2 cd album if you have too!?! As you say though, there must be some underlying problem or suspicions with the record contract. I have no idea what it is. Does it have something to do with the anticipated number of sales? Do they think it will be bootlegged right off the bat? ? This album is a big deal for the band. It will be the first studio recording made in the USA since the late '80's (I think). this would automatically mean a tour to promote. I am hoping that there is some work being done in that area. The band should also be selling direct to the fans. They could easily do this. Nothing fancy. Just post an addy and the price and they can cut out the middle man for some of the sales. Leigh does it. Randy does it. Are they going to work out a deal with Best Buy? I will look in the Sunday's paper before August 21, but I ain't holding my breath on that one. Are all sales going to be through that one website?

Amazon, and Barnes & Noble has it on their websites. I pre-ordered mine at B&N, and you can also pre-order the new album at your local B&N store as well.

I probably said all this once before but I will say it again....The album is going to fucking come out! Amazon wouldn't start letting us preorder it if it wasn't. Some of you (old time fans nonetheless) are continously whining about the 2 times it was delayed like a bunch of pansy hairdressers to the point where you're gonna kill your enjoyment of the record when you finally do get to hear it. Again, here's the reality of what happened...They were all set to record it at the end of 2005. Unfortunately, Paul was suddenly not available. Despite this disappointment, The band still went into the studio & recorded the thing with Hasslevander. They had a record deal that fell through and delayed the release. Yeah that sucked for us & BC. Now while some of you took it as an opportunity to continue to bitch, there was a bright side to it. Not only did it provide the chance to record Whaley, who was now back, on the album, it even gave them a chance to write & record more tunes for it ( I do wish that the 4 left off wete put on the cd, but I'm still psyched to hear a new album by a newly refreshed group of musicians). It then took awhile to get the right record deal but evetually they did. The record was then delayed by one more month due to a descrepancy over the cover art (which I know a lot of you don't like). The main reasons none of this new material has been played live yet are a lack of time to properly rehearse it (They've lately been starting their tours the day after Paul flies in from Germany) and a desire to have it all show up on Youtube before they get the chance to promote it (which will happen because they are cool enough to let us videotape their shows). At least we can hear a clip of Rollin Them Bones on the myspace site. Believe me, I know it sucks waiting to hear this record, but won't that make hearing it for the first time that much better. I got my bones rolled for Aug. 21!

Well said FBL! I for one cannot wait for August 21 to roll around. I have no doubt this album will be worth the wait. I have always thought Hasselvander was a great drummer, and with Paul on there as well, in addition to Duck being fully integrated into the BC sound and Dickie being back on home turf, this album will set BC apart from any contenders to the throne. August 21 will be a day of celebration. At the risk of being retaliated against, I suggest to all you naysayers to just hold tight. The last thing this group needs is doubters and non support. This is a prime time for us to rise to the occasion, buy the album, convert all non believers and shun those who don't "get it". Oh yeah, one other thing. Festooned Piglips, S.T.F.U.!!!!!!!!!!!!
