When was that video made? I didn't realize Paul played with Randy these days.
Sabbath's first is a great album, but not as good as BC's first!

Bunch of Wankers!!! Yeah, and they've gotten more credit and attention than any band ever deserved - I'll take the first BC LP over anything Sabbath ever did! It makes them sound like Perry Como! ;D Hey- FBL go 'bark at the moon' (I know that's Ozzie solo, not Sabbath, but you catch my snow drift)

Hey, if y'all can put up posts on this BLUE CHEER board pugging people like Frank Marino, Ted Nugent, Randy Holden, Manowar, or any miscellanious garage band that happened to simply just open for BC, I'm gonna plug credit where it's due....Sabbath's debut is a landmark album and this band was probably the most influential on the heavy rock sound. And besides (and most importantly)....they played LOUDER than all these bands! (except BC) ;DTony Iommi is a guitar god! All hail our dark lords!

Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin are two of the most influential Heavy Metal/ Hard Rock bands in the history of rock music. A lot of bands may have followed in their steps. But none of them has ever come close to those two bands. Except for BC, as they started it all

Hey Babylon,
Did you hear about the potential Led Zep reunion that is being discussed? I wonder if they'll charge more for tickets than Cream did (sorry Mikey...I had to go off topic again...).

In my opinion Jimi Hendrix was the most influential ever and Blue Cheer came out with a style comparable to Hendrix's during the time of which Hendrix was still performing only with more power and heaviness. BC were doing it before Sabbath , Zeppelin and Deep Purple and they( Sabbath,Zeppelin and Deep Purple )have always seemed to get the credit that BC should have received but didn't. That all has to do with popularity and who has got the money and promotion behind them. The Who are also another influence on bands to have come afterwards. Black Sabbath were unique in the sense that they were the first heavy band with a "dark" image and it is the dark image that sold the band which has influenced many of the heavy metal bands to have followed in their footsteps like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and many of the stoner bands today like Sleep, Spirit Caravan who try to pattern their styles like Sabbath

That footage was from Jan '06, and it's not live. the song "Space Surf Rider" from one of Randy's albums is what's playing in the video, not what's being played in the room.
